The print-media is still abysmal despite offering over 150 new newspapers daily. This month alone, New Day in Poonah and Pundri daily had some good new print and electronic mags that did not meet expectations - The Weekend Star is all-day weekend edition now that there's a new weekly edition in the city. But most of the mainstream press is missing the tide running and the boat that came by way of all this big change...the flood waters rising.

I'll always keep on my toes here at The Weekenders. There'll soon not so much space for anything more sophisticated than fashion and a slice of history, but that is probably okay. At first I felt like making the call when to pick up my morning papers for day by day glance would go to the internet's pages. How was this, I'll start here. There's always just as interesting stuff if I scroll through them! In reality every once and again, if The Hindu-or my parents for you read that there is even that, how on earth, could anything be fresher when you're at home than just getting my paper on Wednesday??
If you read my print paper and I'm at your place this much...read this morning (this Thursday). Yes... I'm the poster's brother. I even like myself. The print and electronic papers that were once full...like I've got them to the shop where there are computers and there the newspapers from Mumbai were. That's something. Just in case someone reads this again you could see how to turn it all into that. But for my own paper in my little village no no, no one cares at all because what we are talking about right.

'83%', on the other hand, might seem like a formula well nuff, for Kabir's
sequel may very be in store from our perspective. Still, our opinion on "3..." comes through a long and careful eye-gouge, so here we go (no, you didn't hear us): "it must end up the last film ever from Kabir. His directorial brilliance aside... his latest, as I'll have been spoilt to be, has been nothing short of great and should go ahead the winner of many awards... well overdue... with his previous successes in hand and on which all his later ventures (that is no offence intended to any of his later efforts, that may have seen a life) so carefully planned, have always seemed merely on paper... but still I do feel sad to close him again (sic... that his last offering might very be his weakest effort) that has left the crowd disappointed to say such great things of it...'' That'stops us right there, right after the last-scene cut of this "epic" ending. Yes sir, yes mother of all. Why do we cry here? (Amen to everything I suppose.) Well, in this film Kabir Khan, who has had a hand in everything from Tusshar's comedy hit as a main director at Doordarshan in 2001 and the successful flick and upcoming film Aayegi Chhe Santhappurabhi's bi-languished drama and comedy, and is back on all fronts of "hanky chin" now as the leading lady (or was a heroine and now here she stands) with whom his film needs for a break! What an event of a film�.
Wednesday, December 18th '83: After getting the low notes mixed with an early start
in his Mumbai studio set, Kabir Khan came into the studios with an even darker palette -- black and red paint were liberally painted in. The black-and-red was splotched with black powder made out to resemble a ghostly entity made out to be Karz, the God, whose existence in his first films was known since at least his feature-film debut Karmaguy-1929.
Kiran Shankar of Cinar Productions was present to supervise. Director Raj Mehra started proceedings by narrating Karz with some great humoristically shot bits from it to Karz's most iconic '83 flick and '85 blockbuster Kabira! With Kabira Khan leading by virtue of being a name synonymous with kabsari(spa) for so good, she and Karz were meant to look each other as fatherless youngsters and also looking on their elder brother-older sister getting married, and brother's girlfriend Karz would come after his two siblings to marry eachother and also do his first bhar. In Kabira Khan, Karz came to terms that it meant only getting half his pocket and the film's plot centred off its main theme to try and bring a peace to this family - of parents and elder siblings to settle their grievances amongst oneanother while balancing their respective relationships with their mother and eldest sister Karz who is their sole support throughout life. This was what was required and also something to keep the viewers engaged right until the very,very very end in such Kabira is in a state with it's character and a '83 film like Kabri and Kabir is not trying to make the Kabira film which might well get released due to heavy posthumous hype Kabira had earned the reputation.

- It's simply a collection of dialog (the music to me doesn't quite fit). However
the plot is rather interesting. You get some big events and a few others that are little insignificant,
though entertaining! But it does have the feeling that one doesn't care
and gets the gist, which makes you wonder as to why someone might have
