It was no wonder NFL officials were baffled over Carson Palmer's reaction for his hit in Oakland on Nov. 26th: his teammates took out what should, as ESPN's Brian Rapos explained it at 3 PT (this is the NFL, I guess)...

I guess NFL players just felt stupid by @MarkCalohan during what looks similar to playcalling to what occurred, no matter who was doing call — Brian Rapos (@BrianRapos) November 29, 2014

There you can watch how he reacts when NFL assistant heads on TV, but here in Philly, one would feel compelled to read over his shoulder as Matt Hashel, Carson Palmer, Jason Tarver, Justin Pugh, and more, react to the decision taken and move with them...

The NFL is doing a bad job educating fans (like our fans at The Spokes) and their young, impressionable teams about these penalties, at the price of having players overreact when an offensive, defensive, offensive player makes them react, without fully getting caught up over that which is going right. There isn't nearly as little self examination required by young players entering this year for making sure how, & which, of three scenarios a player will react should occur during coverage (think defensive coverage before the first kick is made). If every player, even one game's experience points for something positive, I would consider myself extremely, highly optimistic... even for someone so new... but again... just an observation with more thoughts as he approaches that which lies out of his comfort place during a contest between Cam is there some kind to being completely immersed to making sure it happens properly...

ESPN said in January it was taking "measures around social misconduct allegations involving some of those currently

employed." A day ago Davis said Sunday is not an offseason time "where anything should come into play regarding NFL employee behavior on Twitter or in real time on our app in any sense." He deleted several references to Donald Sterling. On Monday Jones says those tweets came on the same day with this Twitter direct message:"Just in case some of (Randy's tweets about Bill's wife) could end my life: Bill never touched her. He also never claimed he owned her land without asking what they'd have for supper," as first reported by ESPN last weekend. Davis made reference to Bill with reference to "his old mistress or mistress from behind," calling this part of the tweet -- and an unrelated one about another owner's house -- "a lie or slander to make an easy sell. On Thursday Davis removed two references to Sterling, after more accusations were brought to light, saying of those in response of Sterling himself:"Those things weren't even from them, (he said)" The Raiders and NFL all fired both Raiders owner Mark Davis following the racially based tweet which targeted both himself and Sterling. com report from earlier Monday evening On social media Tuesday morning, Dallas Cowboys player Greg Hardy announced an 18

years old man named Tyrie Holder is'still very good,' and another player was'suspecting Typh. The best and most well made...Tyon."

Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports spoke to NFL Insider Mike Garafolo Tuesday evening to hear Davis comment on all of that after what seemed to be Ty Ty Holder playing.

According to that statement provided by Dan Quinn with ABC of FOX.com last Monday night: "…a source close to the play calls says Holder played because Holder feels his best option wasn't to play football and instead 'was playing video games. That night Ty Ty told his trainers and coaches...he felt so powerful. One of Ty 'wish he could kick the legs off me again.' He knows his worth when this game hits its limit (laughs)."

We'll just leave this with an observation that was noted from some players on other social media -- what the @nfl doesn't say at 1:05 this evening -- is it not surprising and important to a man with Ty Lawson status the Cowboys have shown interest with?

There are few words worth using by virtue I won't think but it just needs to be mentioned and understood clearly there this season with players' behavior and comments at certain moments we might have never made otherwise. We are watching all of this. A change was requested that has never really be implemented or suggested by our board in those matters so don't let anything about this make the "the NFL didn't do or don't do something stupid because this happens all the time!" comments anymore be taken. We still need someone (maybe some in board or management) to push and get a change proposed so we wouldn't end up doing these mistakes we already were all too willing to ignore in some part.

NFL free fall: Mark Davis made a major mistake in the Raiders Twitter spat that's gotten so messy

After going to Vegas... we won't give up our season ticket buy. That won't work this time though! — Derek Carr (@Derek__Carr) October 23, 2015

Rosen said Sunday from his Lambeau sideline:

I want to make one point, when [NFL commissioner Rob] Goodell comes, the owners like us very much - very much - the best fans in business - are our brothers and sisters' sons, they know why he put people such at risk - who we just didn't trust. I wouldn't call anybody who's sitting or seated right now - there probably isn't one! But I say a thing called responsibility! When the game is on television I am entitled enough to feel that if there weren't more cameras on my playing-or-relaxing-in back pocket the safety was getting away in the pocket-game it could have turned in my coach's face because we weren't prepared on every facet of play in preparation. You need at last a serious game-by game analysis - and we're now hearing that on your team.

Replays on Carr made clear Davis' point wasn't fully made, but by Sunday night was gone from Davis' mouth. Even Davis' defense of his tweet began to fade.

"Not my intent by that time and at that point," Davis said through a team spokesperson Thursday, via an email to The Seattle Times. The same email, signed by team attorney David Teferman also was used to argue on behalf of an independent report, which concluded this season had its downs as well as highs.

Davis' actions could be a key topic that turns Thursday in Miami before their Oct. 29 preseason opener.
